On June 12, 2011, the
Mini Cooper Register in the UK is celebrating 50 years of the Mini/MINI marque. Minis will gather for this, the 25th National Mini Day in the UK, at Beaulieu which will host a veritable display of the evolution of the Mini Cooper, including rare examples through to the latest incarnation - the BMW Mini Cooper. On display will be a Cooper Formula Junior single seater and an early tuned 850 Mini, the earliest surviving 997 Cooper, and examples of all the other Cooper variants built. Mk1s, MK2s, MK3s, Rover Coopers and foreign built Coopers such as the Innocenti, Authi and Australian models. There will also be Ex-Works and competition cars and coach built Coopers. A separate celebration is also planned to mark the first ten years of the BMW MINI.
