It goes without saying that the MINI brand also has its place in the history of the Nordschleife. Since 1990, a MINI has led its class in the VLN Endurance Championship on 13 occasions. Since 2004 the MINI Challenge Germany has also been a regular guest on the fringe programme for the 24-hour race. MINI has also been represented with great success in the VLN since 2005. Furthermore, promising young drivers regularly line up in MINI racing cars in the RCN Rundsrecken Challenge Nürburgring.

On June 25th, the official MINI Motorsports team [sic], three privateer MINI teams and as many as 200 other competitors will race a grueling 24 hours at the Nürburgring-Nordschleife. This epic endurance race on the world’s most epic public road will test men and machine alike. It’s been dubbed “The Green Hell Adventure.” Notoriously unpredictable weather plus a swarm of cars will make this race truly a spectacle to behold. MINI is still tight-lipped about just what cars they’re racing at this event, but if they’re the cars we think they are, stay tuned, ’cause you’re going to want to see this.
