Saturday, July 9DAY 1 - CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA
Shift into first and floor it. You’re off to Charlotte, NC! In 1799, a young man from Charlotte found a 17-pound rock which his family used as a doorstop. Three years later, a local jeweler determined it was very nearly solid gold. Thus began our nation’s first documented gold rush. North Carolina was the largest producer of gold in the United States until the Sierra Nevada strike in 1848. Now Charlotte’s claim to fame is the home of American Motorsports. What a fitting destination for the first leg of our Track to Track rally.
All NORCAL MINI members are encouraged to meet Christine Toibin at her hotel for a quick morning check-in. Before we caravan over to Atlanta Motor Speedway, we'll have a drawing and pass out Norcal pins for your lanyard. Be sure to have your 2016 Membership Card!
Christine's hotel is located about 15 minutes away from our 1st track. Let's meet at 6:15 AM.
