Thank you to the more than 40 members of NorCal MINIs who attended our 2011 Mt. Lassen Overnight. Twenty-two MINIs, from Countryman to Clubman to Hatchback, had a tremendous time traversing I-5 to Anderson and Redding and on to Mt. Lassen National Park, Subway Cave and Burney Falls. The only difficulty we had was snow. Yes, that's right. Twelve miles of the Main Road through Mt. Lassen Park were still snowbound on July 10, 2011 with the Bumpass Hell Boardwalk closed due to reports of 12 foot drifts. Thus, we could only motor to Summit Lake from the North entrance. Next year maybe the Rain Gods will depart before June and we can hold Mt. Lassen 2 - The Bumpass Hell Edition.
