Thomas Tekaat of the Lechner Racing Team clocked the fastest lap at the time trial for his first win in the club sport series at Munich's Olympic Stadium. Tekaat's margin of victory was only 0.011 seconds. Originally, the sum total of two time trials - one on Saturday and one on Sunday - were to determine the winner, Teekaat won on Saturday. The Sunday time trials were rained out. The MINI Challenge Germany next moves to the Motorsportarena Oschersleben for three rounds from July 29 - 31, 2011 and shares the bill with the FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC).
