BMW FWD and AWD On Next Generation MINIs

CNET reports that MINI will use the new BMW Group front-wheel-drive architecture to extend MINI's model range. MINI will also likely bring AWD to vehicles other than the Countryman. Here is what CNET says based on an article appearing in Automotive News,
Cooper: The third-generation hatchback is expected in 2014, using a new fwd and four-wheel-drive architecture shared with a new range of entry-level BMWs.
Clubman: The three-door compact wagon may be restyled in 2012.
Countryman: Mini's first crossover went on sale this year. The brand's first four-door vehicle is 161.7 inches long, 6 inches longer than the Clubman wagon. Mini debuted a new all-wheel-drive system called All4 as an option on the Countryman.
Paceman: The three-door derivative of the five-door Countryman will debut in the fall of 2012. It will share the Countryman's platform and power trains.
Coupe: A two-seat coupe based on the three-door Cooper goes on sale this fall.
Two four-cylinder gasoline engines will be offered, with output ranging from 121 hp in the Cooper Coupe to 208 hp in the John Cooper Works Coupe.
Roadster: A soft top based on the new two-seat coupe will debut in early 2012.
Entry-level car: Mini is considering an entry-level model smaller than the Cooper.
