Countryman Dissed By Kavanagh

Jason Kavanaugh, Engioneering Editor writing for edmund's Inside Line on the long term testing of the Countryman, is not very happy with the car. Kavanaugh says the ride quality is "crummy,"
Our longterm 2011 Mini Countryman rides as though it has about one inch of suspension travel. It's unable to swallow and dispatch sequences of small, sharp bumps in the pavement, instead skittering across the tops of them as it bounces off its suspension's bump stops. Along the way there's a good dose of bump steer too. Not impressed.
Maybe he was looking for a big soft ride, say a Lincoln Navigator? Good luck with that Jason.
