MINI Scooter-E Starts A Trend

When MINI introduced the "Scooter-E," its electric urban scooter, little did it know that it would spawn a bunch of copycat competitors. This is the VW entry called E-Scooter, not to be confused (or in order to confuse it) with the MINI Scooter-E. It has a 350-watt electric motor and nickel-metal-hydride battery, which can be removed to be charged indoors. It weighs 44 pounds without batteries, and should be able to travel up to 40 miles at up to 30 mph on a single charge at between 28 and 31 miles per hour.

Other manufacturers are also expect to enter the electric scooter market.
